League Allocations
At the conclusion of each GT Series – Oceania Online Racing Championship, we will begin our end of season League & Car allocation process.
We do this to promote fairness and equality across the leagues and to also give others a chance to gain promotion if they so desire.
At this very moment in time, we are only debuting our first GT Series league, so there will be no promotion/relegation for Season 1.
At season’s end this is likely to be applied if we have added another league or two.
Each League will consist of 28 Drivers.
This is how the system works when it becomes active.
League Allocations
League 1
- If you finish inside the Top 18, you will stay in that league the following season.
- If you finish between 19th-24th, you will be competing in the League Playoffs A.
- If you finish 25th-28th, you will join League 2 the following season.
League 2
- If you finish 1st-4th in League 2, you will be promoted to League 1 for the following season.
- If you finished between 5th-10th, you will be competing in the League Playoffs A.
- If you finish between 19th-24th, you will be competing in the League Playoffs B.
- If you finish 25th-28th, you will join League 3 the following season.
And so on and so forth…
League Playoffs
To promote fairness in all leagues and to also allow the opportunity to be promoted and to also be able to fight for your spot in League 1 we will hold the following
- 3 x 30 min qualifying sessions on 3 separate circuits selected by our stewards and admins.
- No damage, full corner cutting rules and flags.
Your best times from each session will be added together to get our League Playoff ranking.
League Playoffs will consist of:
- 6 from League 1 (19th through to 24th place)
- 6 from League 2 (5th through to 10th place)
- 2 Wildcard# Slots (for additional League 2 drivers or a new driver that passes a time trial)
# In some instances we may have a new driver join OOR that is extremely fast, and to ensure that all leagues are competitive, they will be allowed to participate in the League Playoffs as a Wildcard. We will only allow this in certain set of circumstances when we believe placing this driver automatically in League 2 wouldn’t be fair for those in that league. In saying this, this will be rare and we will always focus on promoting those already in leagues.
